AnswerMyCalls collects the following information to provide our AI receptionist service:

  • Account information: Your name, email, business name, phone number, and website URL.
  • Call data: Recordings, transcripts, caller phone numbers, names, and conversation details from calls handled by your AI receptionist.
  • Caller information: Names, phone numbers, addresses, and service requests provided by callers during conversations with your AI receptionist.
  • Usage data: Call volume, duration, and feature usage to improve our service.
  • Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Providing and improving our AI receptionist service
  • Sending SMS call summaries and notifications to business owners
  • Training and improving our AI models
  • Generating anonymized, aggregated insights and industry benchmarks
  • Billing and account management
  • Customer support

3. Aggregate Data

We may create anonymized, aggregated data from call information that cannot reasonably identify any individual caller or business. This aggregate data may be used for industry benchmarking, market research, and product improvement. Aggregate data cannot be traced back to any individual caller, phone number, or business.

4. Call Recording

All calls handled by AnswerMyCalls are recorded and transcribed. Callers are informed at the beginning of each call that the call may be recorded for quality purposes. Recordings are stored securely and used to generate transcripts, call summaries, and structured data for your dashboard.

5. AI Disclosure

All callers are informed at the beginning of each call that they are speaking with an AI-powered assistant.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell individual call recordings, transcripts, or personal caller information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers: Retell.ai (voice AI), Twilio (phone numbers and SMS), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting).
  • As required by law: To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or law enforcement requests.

7. Data Retention

We retain call data for as long as your account is active. After account cancellation, we retain data for 90 days before deletion. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data and call records via your dashboard
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of aggregate benchmarking
  • Correct inaccurate information

9. California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

10. Canadian Residents (PIPEDA)

We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Personal information is collected with consent, used for stated purposes, and protected with appropriate security measures. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

11. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and access controls. Our infrastructure is hosted on Vercel and Supabase with SOC 2 compliance.

12. Cross-Border Data Transfer

Your data may be processed in the United States and Canada. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.

13. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or dashboard notification.
